Is Your Underwear Causing You Ugly Cellulite?

Nine out of ten women suffer from cellulite and one of the reasons below might surprise you… ok, well. maybe not since we kind of gave it away it in the title, but read on to see why.
You’ve heard about lack of exercise, poor diet, and aging causing ugly cellulite dimples and bumps, but have you heard the one about PANTIES?!
Dr. Lionel Bissoon, leading Mesotherapy specialist and author of the book ‘The Cellulite Cure
‘, first raised quite a few eyebrows when he said that thin–not exactly overweight–women have the worst cellulite.
As if that wasn’t surprising enough, he went on to claim that wearing tight-fitting underwear can give you a bumpy behind and that one of the main reason women collect such dimpled rears is because of the lack of oxygen around the area due to wearing tight underwear.
Underwear is Constricting on Cellulite
When you get home from work, examine your buttocks while changing clothes in front of the mirror. If you see a V-shaped, bluish-red mark that has left an imprint across the skin, you may be strangling your bottom into cellulite-dom! According to Dr. Bissoon, the tourniquet-like grip of the side garters restricts the flow of blood and causes the dimples characteristic of cellulite.
Wearing tight-fitting panties during the day when you are active is bad enough, but wearing them to bed makes the problem worse. As you sleep, your inactivity combined with the restricted blood circulation hastens cellulite formation.
Whats the Best Underwear for Cellulite
Unless you don’t mind having cellulite, you may want to change your line of underwear if an honest self examination shows that they’re doing you more harm than good. You might not be able to completely get rid of cellulite, but a simple fix can definitely help. Dr. Bissoon suggests practical alternatives like lace underwear, which have no side elastics that can cause problems. You can also wear a thong or g-string which exposes the cheeks so you can feel sexy without the worry.
At work, you can wear pantyhose which provide support without constriction while still feeling protected. At night, try wearing shorts which you can buy or borrow from your partner or boy friend. Lose fitting pajama bottoms or cute boy shorts without the bottom elastic work fine as well.
But if you really want to be radical about it, by all means, sleep naked!
If you do have cellulite that you think has come from your underwear or has been made worse, then fear not, you can still get rid of cellulite and have the bottom you have always wanted. The damage can be reversed. Exercises will definitely help to bring the blood flow and circulation back to the area, so start with walking or light jogging and be sure to wear nonrestrictive underwear. Some of the cellulite creams, especially those with caffeine can also make a big difference in smoothing out the cellulite that is present as well. And remember that sexy is found within you and not a pair of tight undies!
